In Training

We took the kids snowmobiling a couple weeks ago. My 11-year-old son drove most the time as he just passed his snowmobile course and now needs practical experience. I sat on the back which isn’t nearly as fun as driving and harder to keep warm without being able to use the handle warmers. My fingers and toes got cold. But he did a great job – only scared me a couple times. Toward the end we met up with my husband’s brother and his wife Jelaine and the Roosevelt gang. I covet Jelaine’s snowmobile riding expertise. I personally have a phobia with powder and have a hard time leaning, steering and going over bumps while controlling my bladder all at the same time. Going over moguls is a good way to practice bladder control. I personally need all the practice I can get since I’m pretty sure I will be wearing depends in about 5 years. My husband was going to take Jeremy out again but he chose a sleepover where he could spend all night playing video games instead. I was relieved. My husband was slightly disappointed. But this morning he proved to me that he will still grow up to be just like his dad when he started organizing his school box.

And totally off the subject - does anyone know of a polite way I can tell our neighbors to have their dog quit crapping on our lawn?
