The "Frog" Days of Summer

Ahhh, to be a kid again, especially in summer. The beginning of summer brings back so many memories. I lived for summers as a kid.

  • Staying up late
  • Sleeping in until 10:00 am.
  • Sleeping in the backyard under the stars
  • Our annual trip to Lagoon
  • Fishing and camping trips
  • Going to the parade and the park and watching fireworks on the 4th of July
  • Jumping on a trampoline all day without getting a headache or wetting my pants
  • Walking around barefoot and having my feet scorched on hot asphalt
  • Playing hide-and-seek at night
  • Running through the sprinklers
  • School shopping

Having a bunch of kids over at our house this weekend playing four square, going on frog hunts every night by the canal and playing night games reminded me of what being a kid is all about. It made me dread Monday morning when I had to get up and go back to work.

I too long to be able to jump on a trampoline without wetting my pants. What's with that?

to be a kid again... would that describe the dad on the bike??
Just for the record, I can still jump on a tramp without wetting my pants. ... ask me again in December, things may change.
