How I spent my summer vacation:

With 2 of the kids having only 3 weeks of summer vacation, crazy weather in June and no big vacation plans, this summer seemed, well…. short. So thank goodness I love the Fall, otherwise I don’t think I could bear to see summer come to an end so soon.

Here are a few highlights:

  • A trip to Lagoon. Probably the highlight of the summer.
  • Riverton Rodeo – not so much fun in the pouring rain.
  • Boating on Utah Lake – enjoyed the wave runners and getting violently thrown off the tube but skiing was not an option with the 2-foot swells
  • Provo River ½ Marathon – I was really pleased with my time of 1 hour and 58 minutes. Yeah me!
  • Cabin – 4th of July and Labor Day weekend.
  • Scout camp and Youth Conference for Doug and Jeremy, Cam and I got to go to Day Camp. Woo Hoo.
  • A wedding in the back yard – A lot more work than I originally thought it would be.

  • Yard work and gardening – a never-ending feat but take a look at these bad boys. It’s harvest time, baby!

  • Swim lessons and swim team
  • Camping trip to Palisade State Park

We also finally got our sport court in.

Life is never not busy.
