When Doug and I were asked to be a ma and pa for trek, I was really excited as I have never had the opportunity to serve in any capacity with the youth (it's always been Primary for me). Because our stake is large (we had about 500 people) we weren't able to go to Martin's Cove but went to Deseret Land and Livestock near Evanston instead. It was fun but a lot of hard work. In the course of 2 1/2 days we walked about 35 miles. The kids were awesome - hardly any complaints. And I'm happy to report no blisters for me. Just a couple of sore calves and knee. I was amazed at all the hard work and effort that went into planning something of this magnitude. It was a great experience. And no the guys aren't being lazy. This is the women's pull. I'm in the green skirt. Um, the one in the back.
